A professor from Cornell University told his story. When he was a student there during the 1930s he studied very hard because the best student was promised a job upon graduation. Many times, he arrived to class late as he studied late into the night. On the final exam, he also studied late into the night and overslept. When he arrived, the exam has already started.
All the students were given four questions on paper and two questions on the board. He only managed to finish five of the questions and was very depressed, as he knew several students had finished all the six.
One early morning, there was a knock on his door and it was his professor who had come to congratulate him as the final results had come out and he was the top student.
He asked the professor why and was told that the exam was on the four questions on the paper and the two questions on the board were bonus questions, which Einstein could not solve. He solved one of the bonus questions because he did not know they were unsolvable by Einstein.
What do you think might have happened if he was not late and was told that the two questions are questions Einstein could not solve?
