There was a man who had the habit of having extra marital affairs but always regretted it later. He would often go to confession. One day after an affair he went to church with a friend to confess his sin. He went inside while his friend waited for him outside.
During the confession, the priest asked him who he had the affair with and the man pleaded with the priest not to press him for an answer. The priest said,“ My son, if you do not tell me, how can I help you?”
The man pleaded with the priest again not to press him for an answer and the priest then said, “ I think I know whom you had an affair with. She must be the sister of Mr. Wang.” and the man replied, “No, it's not her.”
The priest then said, “Then she must be the youngest daughter of Mr. Yang.” Again the man said it wasn't Miss Yang either.
The priest then guesses she must be the widow of Mr. Liew and again the man said it was not she.
“Tell me then who she is,” the priest demanded. Again the man pleaded with the priest not to press him for an answer, as he will never tell anyone the name of the guilty party. At this point, the priest got angry and asked him to leave and refuse to help him with his confession.
The man went outside where his friend was waiting and the friend asked if he had confessed his sin. The man replied, “No, but let me tell you a piece of good news. I got three new prospects.”
