Q47. What is the greatest obstacle or challenge Networkers faced?
The greatest obstacle or challenge Networkers faced is their inability to be their own boss. Most people are okay as employees or if they own a traditional business. As employees, they know what time they have to wake up, what time they have to go to work, what time the day ends and how many days they have to work in a week. When they work, they also know what they have to do to be productive so that they are entitle to the salary or benefits they are going to received at the end of the day, week, month or year.

For traditional businesses, they know what they have to do and how hard they have to work to pay the rent, salaries to their employees, their loans and they profit they need to make to make their ventures worthwhile.

However, when it comes to Multi Level Marketing, many full-time Networkers do not even know when to wake up, when they have to leave the house and go out to do their business. When they go out and do their business they do not understand that they must do the 3 “S” (Sponsor, Sell and Service) to make their business productive. You will be surprised by the number of distributors who will go to the company office or facility or their centers, hang around with their uplines or downlines or crosslines or play with their smartphone or computer for hours and then go home and believe they are working their MLM business.

A warning. The smart phone or computer you use to read this message can be used as entertainment or empowerment. You can use it to play computer games and spent unnecessary time on Facebook and Twitter or you can use it to empower your business and increase your knowledge. I have heard people saying they use it to kill time. Wish The Lord allows them to give me the time they want to kill. By the way, Facebook and Twitter are not full time jobs.

A few advice:

1/ Leave your bed. Not a bad idea if you know that 80% of people die in bed. So when you wake up in the morning and find you are still alive jump out of it.

2/ Leave your TV and computer. The average people in developed countries spend an average of 5 hours a day on their TV and computer. This is bad when you know the average people only work 8 hours a day.

3/ Leave your home. Your home is your castle, the place where you are most comfortable and where everything is, the bed, the TV, the computer, the refrigerator etc.

Here are 3 questions to help all of you.

When you think you are doing your MLM business, I would like you to ask yourselves:

a/ Did you sponsor or help your downlines sponsor any one today?

b/ Did you sell or help your downlines sell anything today?

c/ Did you service or help your downlines service anyone today?

If the answer is “Yes”, well done. You are working today. If the answer is “No”, it is time to decide you need to improve your working attitude. I believe in you and I want you to believe in yourself that this is easy. You must make the sensible decision to transform yourselves to be an entrepreneur. Please note that I use the word “transform” and not “conform” To conform because you are now in a business for yourself is not good enough. You must transform yourself into a businessperson, the CEO or President of your company. You must change your identity to suit the role you want to play, a Networker in our industry.

I would like to conclude by saying,"Many Networkers want to be successful but not that much." Some of you will understand what this means but some will not because they do not know the difference between "desire" and "burning desire." They use their own measuring rod to measure how hard they work even though it is not up to par and receiving poor bonuses months after months. Full timers, please learn to listen to the advice of Jin Rohn as a standard to measure yourselves. "Work half a day, 6 days a week." See you at the top.
